Weekly Wrap Up #1

Welcome to my first weekly wrap up. This week I have read seven books; these being Don’t look back by Jennifer L. Armentrout, The Siren by Kiera Cass, The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson, Landline by Rainbow Rowell, In a Perfect World by Trish Doller, Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton and The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh.

I gave this 4/5 stars.

I gave this 2/5 stars.

I gave this 4.8/5 stars.

I gave this 3/5 stars.

I gave this 4/5 stars.

I gave this 4/5 stars.

I gave this 5/5 stars.

Now this is a lot of books read in one week, however over the next few months I won’t be reading as many as this in a week as I should have work, exams and assignments to do and other things going on in my life. I say should as that is hoping I am better in the next few months, as unfortunately I had an accident at the end of last year and as a consequence I have lost my sight and ability to read words – along with other problems and issues that this accident had caused like not being able to walk. This meaning that I haven’t been able read to read books, do work, assignments or exams. However both my eyesight and walking are slowly starting to get better; so I am hoping by next month I can read to some extent. Now I am not going to go into much detail as I am still on the road to recovery and it is a very traumatic and personal thing to have happened – but I just wanted you to know why I will be going from reading seven books a week to about two to three.

As a result of not being able to see – I have had to listen to audiobooks which are great and I have started to get into since the accident, but personally I don’t think they are as good as reading a physical book as you can’t imagine what each character sounds like and the whole experience of reading the book is just completely different. That means because I can’t read and see properly there aren’t many things I can do so I have a lot of time to listen to audiobooks; hence why I have got through so many books. I have also started to try and read books online by enlarging the print really big – as in covering the whole screen of my iPad big – but this means it takes me longer to read the book although it is teaching my brain to read again and means I can read in some shape or form; even if it does make my eyes go funny and me feel sick. Any bookworm will understand how sad it is when you can’t physically read a book, so I am so sad that I can’t read as the accident happened in November and so I haven’t been able to physically read a book since then.

Now I don’t want anybody to think I am moaning or being ungrateful because other people have it worse or that I am posting this just to get more followers or views because I am new at blogging; because I am really genuinely not. I said I would post what’s going on in my life and this is a massive part of it at the moment. Plus it is effecting my reading so is linked to this blog. Sorry if I babbled on though – but I am a chatterbox at heart. I also know this isn’t really much do with my reading week but I wanted you to get some background information first, next week I will focus more on the books I have read.

P.s. If you are wondering how I am posting things if I can’t see to type, it’s because I am not typing I am solely using a combination of both Siri and voice dictation on my iPad – which takes forever but worth it in the end.

Thank you for reading my first weekly wrap up, feel free to like and comment any other questions you have and I will answer them for you. Over the next few weeks I will be playing around with the layout and content to my weekly wrap ups, so make sure to follow my to see the changes I make – as I really would appreciate the support. Until then I would also appreciate it if you went checked out my other posts and liked and commented on them too. I hope you have had a wonderful. Leave in the comments some of the things you have been up to this week, and some of the things you have read this week and your thoughts and opinions and I will reply back to you.

    1. Yes once I am better I need to have a play around with my weekly wrap up posts, I think I will add in life updates too. Your life isn’t boring at all. Love yooouuu more!
