My ReadathonByZoe Wrap Up

So, you may or may not know that on Saturday 3rd March 2018 Readbyzoe did a readathon. I planned to take part in this and get really stuck into – however my weekend ended up being a lot busier than I anticipated. Therefore I didn’t really get to properly take part and didn’t get to read as much as I could have. Although saying this I did still finish one book through an audiobook – and continued reading another one I was already reading.

My TBR for the readathon was a more of a list of books I could pick from to read during the readathon, as I listed 6 books on it but I knew I wasn’t going to get to them all.

So the audiobook that I finished was one I has slightly started before the readathon, therefore meaning I didn’t actually finish a whole book in the duration of the readathon, it was called The Unremembered Girl by Eliza Maxwel. This book was ok, I gave it 2/5 stars on Goodreads, as it was quite slow to begin with and then it went really really odd after something big and wired that had nothing to do with the plot happened. I stuck through it though, and finally finished it. However – I found the voice the narrator of the audiobook did to be so annoying as it was just a really odd tone of voice.

The book that I continued – and still haven’t finished oops – was The Diviners by Libba Bray. Now I am absolutely loving this book – it is amazing. It so lives up to the hype. I am nearly halfway through, and I can’t get enough of it. It is taking me a while to read it, as I am physically reading it online and as I can’t read at the moment due to my accident (if you don’t know about this then it is briefly explained in my Weekly Wrap Up # 1) I have to enlarge the text to a really really big size and even then I struggle to read it.

Books I finished : 1 technically (but non in the duration of the readathon)

Pages Read: I don’t know as I listened to the audiobook of The Unremembered Girl, and The Diviners is being read online.

So overall I kind of failed this readathon, but I am so excited to do one properly next time Zoe does another readathon; hoping I am free. Although if you are planning to do your own little readathon, or know someone else who is doing one, in the mean time please let me know and if I am free then I will join in.

On the other hand – if you did the the readathon how did you do? If you didn’t take part then did you want to but weren’t able for some reason, or do you just not like readathons? Let me know in the comments please.

I just want to say thank you for letting me know Chloe@bookdragons that the readathon was happening, as before you told me i had no idea as I haven’t been on BookTube as much as I normally am.

If you enjoyed this post please like or comment, and then if you want to you could check out my other posts on my blog. See you soon when I let you know which wonderful world I have decided to jump into.

  1. Ahh I can’t wait to read The Diviners, It’s been ages since I put it on my TBR 😀 On a side note- I’m so sorry about your accident, I just read about it, but I’m glad you’re getting better! Hang in there, I hope you’ll get your sight back to normal as soon as possible! ♥
